Love the COLOR!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mixer from my family for christmas to replace a KitchenAid Mixer from 2003. I love the color and the ease of the mixer. I use it all the time! My family bakes a lot, so this is a huge upgrade from my older mixer.

I'm 45 and no one in my family has ever owned a Kitchenaid before. We are talking no one in my family for generations - that I know of. Well, I did my homework on WHY we even needed to get rid of the hand mixer (I've had 6 spinal surgeries that have failed and my back "hurts" is an understatement. I spinal surgery is enough to cause 6-8 months of recovery and no bending, no lifting more than 5lbs., and no twisting. I've done 6 of them. Baking in the kitchen doesn't happen but 10% of what it used to because of my excruciating pain). I finally have sort of convinced a few in the family. (It was the price that kept them away, not my need for it.) I got one on a sale at Black Friday. Now everyone is making up excuses to bake just to use the kitchenaid. For me, my pain is gone and it is like having a sous chef in the kitchen. I can (almost) walk away while it is blending or whisking something.
This has literally changed the way I bake and how often I bake. Plus, it's absolutely beautiful to look at. Great design! Thank you Kitchenaid for helping me reduce or maintain my pain levels in the kitchen!

Never knew cake mixes could turn out so good!

My wife bought this for our kitchen. I have never been much of a baker but this mixer is encouraging me to do new things. Cakes from mixes, cookie, bread: it does them all good. I have never made a cake from a mix that turned out so good. I was not aware that mixing could be so critical. Also making frosting from scratch. Great. The only think I wish to point out is that the mix head height was not set properly from the factory. I tried to make bread and the head was bouncing and kept coming unlocked. I did some research on the internet and determined the height adjustment be the problem. I adjusted the height while creaming butter with a spatula type beater and it did need lowering. Once I got the beater pattern uniform in the bowl the lock went all the way into position as it should. Next time I tried bread the head stayed where it belonged while my bread kneaded with the dough hook. Other than that I love using this mixer!
Pros: Innovative, Performance, Design, Convenient Features, easy to use

I love ,love ,love this mixer and wonder why I did not purchase it sooner.Since receiving this mixer I have made several batches of cookies and a double pie crust. Everything came out fabulous and what a relief to not have to do any of this by hand.
