I love lifting the head up versus the bowl dropping down. Then I can let gravity do the work getting the batter off the spatula. Only problem I had was when I first used it (even though I washed it first), there was dark grey coloring on my cookie dough. This was from using the wire whisk and scraping against the stainless steel bowl??? So I scrubbed the bowl super hard and it didn't happen again. But that was really gross.

I really don't know how I baked so long without this! I love the hands free feature, and it mixes so beautifully (the scraper spatula is a great help here!) It's super for shredding chicken, too! I'm sure I'll find many more uses for it as I go along!

I have a small kitchen and was thinking I didnt have room for a kitchenAid but the Artisan fits fine on my counter. It was getting so hard to hold the hand mixer for 5 minutes when making a pound cake but it is a breeze with the kitchenAid.
