I bought this mixer befor Christmas. It made quick work out of mixing sausage balls and cheese balls with the dough hook. I spent a lot less time on prep!

I purchased this mixer in October. I just love the way it works! I had a kitchen aid mixer from the middle 80's and my daughter wanted it. So, I purchased another one, in a color to match my kitchen. I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone who loves to bake! I also have RA and it helps me do baking and mixing projects that I would otherwise not be able to do.

We had the basic model and after 10 years of use decided it wanted a permanent vacation so into the recycle bin it went and ordered a more powerful one. What a difference it makes. The only draw back is the older one had a FULL SPLASH GUARD and the new one is not even called that plus it has not only the spout to pour into the bowl but an opening on the side so flour and stuff can SPLASH OUT messing up everything.
They truly need a full covered splash guard or as they call it pouring spout.
Other than that we love this new one and the verity of colors offered, OH VEY!

I would burn up hand mixers every couple of months, the kicthen-aid doesn't even slow down when mixing stiff cookie dough.
Pros: Convenient Features, easy to use, Performance
Cons: It is heavy.
