My husband bought the Artisan model for me for Christmas this year, but let me open it early as to use it to bake for the holidays and WOW!! Heaven! This thing is Heavy Duty!! I'm not kidding! Right down to the way the mixing bowl gets locked into place! I was so jazzed, I ended up making everything I had planned to bake TWICE!! Yep, we had double the cut-out cookies, double the frosting, double the peppermint shortbread cookies and double the peanut butter kisses this year. I even got up on Christmas morning and made cut-out baking powder biscuits for biscuits & gravy. They were perfect! Baking for Christmas was a complete bliss this year!!!

Love my KitchenAid Stand Mixer

Bought this as an early Christmas present to myself and has to be close to the best thing I've ever bought. My only negative is the flour chute/guard. Could not get it to attach to the bowl correctly so I dont use it....other than that....love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had it for a month now and I'm enjoying it so far. Used it for cakes, breads, cookies. It's sturdy and the noise is lower than a handheld mixer. There are 2 CONs though. One is the plastic guard: the "spout" is too short, too close to the head of the mixer to be helpful. After two tries I've put it away and never looked back- it should be redesigned. Second is the wire whisk coating: I don't mind as much the fact that it has to be handwashed, as the fact that it's textured in a way that sticks food to it and it's difficult to really clean at the top. Either coat it with the same white enamel of the other beaters or just use stainless steel (we certainly paid stainless steel price for it). All considered I'm happy with my mixer and hope it'll keep for many years to come.

Perfect for average household

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m in my 60’s and used the Kitchen Aid mixer my mother passed on to me. Holding my new Artisan to the same standards. I’m not a professional cook, I just cook for family and friends. So far, I’m very pleased with the performance- and love the whisk and flex edge paddle. This has its place of prominence on my kitchen counter, as in my opinion, it’s a work of art!
