I began using it the day after I purchased it - absolutely love it. I work in a credit call call center and a card member called as she was on your website trying to make a purchase and her card was being declined - after I verified her card was okay I asked her if the purchase was for her and she said it was for her preteen daughter that loved to bake - I then began telling her about mine and how I loved it - like me she was excited about the splash guard (she didn't know about it until I told her). She was grateful for the input.

Finally, on my third try I received my mixer. The first one I received had a defective motor so called KitchenAid and was sent a replacement. Guess what, it came in pieces and with missing parts so it was returned with no plan to replace. I decided to try one more time and the third time was the charm. I love my mixer and would like to recommend you ramp up quality control.
