During the holiday season we found a new recipe for wonderful bars that required a pound of butter - yes, a pound of butter and I was mixing that into the flour with my hands and it was killing me....we bought this beauty and we were the hit of every holiday party we went to. Now we always have home made mashed potatoes, everything is so easy. It's easy to use, easy to clean and my hands don't feel a thing!

I finally got myself a stand mixer for Christmas just in time for all of my holiday baking. I love the power of this mixer - although I found I couldn't make triple or quadruple batches due to the smaller bowl. I'm happy with the trade-off, though. And if I really need to make a huge batch in a big bowl, I still have my KitchenAid hand mixer :-)
