After research, price comparison, and much delay I just purchased the 5-qt 3.25 wt Mixer. I also bought on sale the accessory Paddle with spatula edge-a must have for soft dough-cookie making.
You can't overlook the power this brings over a conventional hand mixer. And the ability to be hands free to further the recipe at task is great. I'm glad to have the larger bowl capacity just in case. You best have a convenient storage local as this is a heavy unit and ease of access is key to using it often.
I do feel the price of the accessories are prohibitively high in some cases.
