I absolutely love this mixer. It is so amazing! I have been wanting to get one of these mixers for years but couldn't convince myself to make the investment until just recently. I am so glad I did. It is so worth the investment, it will last you a lifetime.

The dough hook is awesome. My dough is coming out so smooth and take so much work out of making rolls, bread, etc. I have always wanted this appliance but could never splurge and get it. I am so glad I finally own this. It will definitely be one of those items that you use for a lifetime. I have three small kids so my cooking days have just begun. I love to make homemade treats and delicious food.

I received the Artisan mixer for Christmas 12 years ago. I absolutely love it, use it and the many attachments frequently, and it is still going strong! Also, I still have and use the original dough hook and flat beater, both coated, and they are in perfect condition. The wire whisk-type beater (not coated) is also in perfect working order.
I love the wide array of colors, and am very happy with the cobalt blue. And compared to a food processor I received as a gift last year (sadly, not KitchenAid! But it is being replaced with KitchenAid!) this mixer is quiet! But I have never found this mixer particularly noisy to begin with!
I visited the website in search of any new attachments, to look for food processors, and to get the model number of accessories I wish to order, and felt compelled to write a review for this fantastic product! Not only do I highly recommend it, I would hate to live without it!

I received this mixer as a gift. I like it but has some flaws. I wish I would've gotten one with more horsepower as the motor bogs down when mixing thick dough or grinding meat. Also, it gets really hot when using it for an extended time like when making ice cream or meat grinding. Attaching the ice cream head was difficult because there is a pin that is sticking out and prevents it from seating completely. I think it is a manufacturing defect but doesn't affect the overall performance of the mixer. Over all, I have enjoyed using it and am pleased to have it. Would just recommend a more heavy duty model as I do not think this one will last years and years. Time will tell.
