Many years ago as a new bride I received a mixer, not a KitchenAid and it was okay. When it broke I bought another also not a KitchenAid and it was okay but after a few years I decided I needed a KitchenAid. It was one of the best things I ever bought since I do bake a lot. Since then all my kitchen appliance purchases have been KitchenAid products. No others compare to the quality. Keep up the good work.

I've always wondered if having this mixer really made a difference. I have now learned that it does. I'm new to baking from scratch, so a hand held mixer was ok for making things from a box. Now that I have been trying to make things from scratch, the hand held mixer is more of a headache than it is a help.
Looking back, that was the reason I used the box stuff. It was time consuming to try and mix everything together. I decided to bite the bullet and give KitchenAid a try.That and i saw all the great colors I could choose from. I figured it would look cool if I didn't really use it. I have used this mixer weekly since buying it. I can't believe I have taken this long to get it. I can mix a "real" cake in a few minutes. If you are thinking about this as a investment. I know mine is worth every penny.

It mixes really well. My wife loves it - a tremendous time saver. Some minor complaints:
- It can be very difficult to untwist the mixing bowl from the base. Really tight fit.
- If you put the mixing bowl on the wrong way (counter-clockwise instead of clockwise, or vice-versa), the bowl can come free when mixing.
- The pourer/cover is not a tight fit and is very easy to place on the bowl incorrectly.
