As I have gotten older and my arm strength has weakened, stirring doughy mixtures has become difficult. That is my reason for purchasing the Kitchen Aid Mixer. I like having the three attachments, wire whip, flat beater and dough hook for more efficient options to combine different food textures.
I'm still getting acquainted with a locked-in-place bowl and having to lock and unlock the motor head each time I need to tilt it. I do appreciate the safety factor. I would like to purchase the processor at a later time.

I bought this to replace my old Kitchenaid mixer. The beater wouldn't release and I tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. I can see that changes have been made to alleviate that problem. I also love the Tilt-head feature.
