My mother has had a KitchenAid stand mixer for almost thirty years. It is still in fantastic condition and works perfectly. I received my KitchenAid stand mixer for a wedding gift from my mother-in-law and it's just as durable and high quality as the one my mother has.
The design is nearly identical to the one from decades ago, but that's one reason it's awesome: it's timeless. It still fits in modern homes and will continue to fit in with kitchen decor for years to come. The tilt-head works perfectly. The attachments are durable and easy to change and clean. The bowl is sturdy deep. Perfect for making cookies and other goods.
While the price may intimidate some, it's a valid investment. Spend the money now and you'll never have to buy another stand mixer again. It's certainly a buy-it-for-life product.

I have had this mixer for about 5 weeks. It's performance and versatility inspire me to use it more. The optional attachments make this many appliances in one. And it is beautiful!! I have friends and family over to bake with me so they can experience this wonderful mixer. I look for things to cook/bake so that I can use it.
