I had to return the mixer I bought in December because the bowl kept flying off. The kind folks at Kitchen Aid promptly sent me a replacement. The new mixer has the same problem, that is, the bowl does not stay engaged to the bottom metal plate. The mixer also vibrates violently when I mix pasta dough. I am following the instructions carefully and the problem persists. Your customer service has been excellent; I hope you can resolve this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
