First one stopped working while whipping egg whites, after only 2 months of use. Sent it back for replacement, now that one's not working correctly ether, slowing significantly with any load. These aren't nearly as well built as models from 20 years ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i make homemade spatzle by hand all the time especially around the holidays, and boy is it a work out by hand. I bought this mixer almost a month ago and have made my spatzle three times already and man has it made my life easier. just put the flour and eggs and turn it on and i'm done in just minutes not a half hour later. thank you KITCHENAID for makeing cooking and baking a lot easier. P.S. since purchasing the mixer the wife has even gotten into more baking also..THANKS AGAIN
