I had use a hand-held mixer for years, but finally did lot's of research and decided to get the Artisan. I requested it and got it from my husband this past Christmas. No more problems with a mixer that just can't quite handle the load. I especially like that fact that I can let it do the mixing while I'm busy with something else in the kitchen. I also love the red color that matches my kitchen.

This is our first stand mixer, since we have always used a good quality hand mixer. My husband and I are loving the superior quality, ease of use and gorgeous orange color that matches our newly painted orange walls.
