Fantastic for Grinding Meat and Making Sausages

I received this mixer for Christmas. I also received the meat grinder and sausage stuffer attachments. So far they have been fantastic. I've made several burger mixes as well as stuffing my own chorizo sausage. I have also used it to make a couple batches of Christmas cookies and it was great for that as well.

My wife had been asking for a KitchenAid for two years now. After doing a fair amount of research and reading dozens of reviews (I like to buy quality and timeless items that will last forever) we decided to take the plunge and buy one. I was worried that most of what I had read was hype and that the mixer wouldn't live up to its reputation, but I can assure you that it has met and exceeded our expectations so far.
The mixer is absolutely rock solid. It's built like a tank and has high quality metal components that seem like they're nearly indestructible. Yes the mixer is heavy, but that weight helps it to stay stable on the counter and not move around while in use. The controls couldn't be simpler, and using the aftermarket attachments couldn't be easier. I expect that this mixer will last a LONG time. Quite honestly I don't see how you can beat it for home use. It's capabilities will probably meet and exceed the needs of 99.9% of home users.
Getting a high quality, American made, and great looking appliance for this price is an absolute steal!

The mixer is so easy to use. Changing out the attachments is a breeze and the same goes for removing the bowl. Cleaning the parts and mixer itself is simple. I love my new mixer, it is awesome!
