17 years old and still a great machine

I’ve had my Empire Red machine for 17+ years now, and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. It’s held up beautifully to a variety of tasks, from whipping cream to kneading dough. The only time I tested its limit was when I was mixing a large batch of extremely stiff cookie dough, where the recipe clearly stated it should be hand mixed at that stage. I love that the Artisan is built for maintenance - you can swap out the motor brushes by hand, adjust the beater depth, and tighten the tilt head on the base all after watching a 5 minute video on YouTube… not that I’ve had to do any of these things in the 17 years I’ve owned it! It’s moved with me 7 times, from large homes to small apartments. I always found a space for it. As a treat to myself, I’ve upgraded to the 7qt machine for Christmas. Nothing will give me greater joy than passing down this pristine Artisan to family who I know will love it as much as I have.

Artisan series 5 Stand Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this stand mixer. It makes life so much easier. I have arthritis and mixing by hand is painful. I’ve made bread many times. I made cookies once and I wondered why I didn’t get this mixer sooner.

Great mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently had to replace our Artisan stand mixer because after 15 years of constant use it was beginning to wear out. The new one is a vast improvement in that it has more speeds allowing for both slower mixer and fast, heavy beating. The grinding attachment makes making hamburger meat simple and quick. These mixers are dependable, durable and easy to use. They are excellent for everything from making bread to wipped cream.

It was like night and day. I actually enjoyed adding the ingredients n watching how easily they were blended together. Also appreciated the plastic guard so the batter wouldn’t fly out of the bowl. I love the way my stylish red mixer looks on my counter. Actually looking forward to making Christmas cookies this season as the mixer will certainly make it easier n more fun! Very happy with my new purchase!
