My husband gave this to me for a Mothers Day gift short after our 5th child was born. It has been a great time saver in the kitchen! I used to swear that I liked doing things the "old fashioned way" by mixing things by hand. However, that's not so easy to do with a squirming baby. Used to, baking and making many homemade meals would be put on hold until our little ones were more able to entertain themselves while I cooked. This time around, I am wishing he would have given me one a long time ago!! :)

Sometimes the mixing bowl sticks in the stand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first mixer I had for over 25 years, it was wonderful. My new mixer only lasted 11 months. The bowl got stuck in the stand and would not come out. Kitchenaid did replace it, but that shouldn't happen.

This is a heavy duty, long lasting piece of kitchen equipment. It saves on dishes while baking and makes the process of cooking so much easier. I haven't owned other stand mixers, but I love this one! I am glad I purchased it. I feel like it will be a fixture in my kitchen for the rest of my life! I wouldn't be surprised if I'm able to pass it down, fully functioning, to my children!

I received this as a gift, my old mixer was not a kitchen aid but lasted 13years! I wish I would of got the bigger one, the bowl is to small for me and it would be better for someone that baked a little.
