I had wanted the stand up mixer for some time. I'm looking forward to adding more attachments, such as the food grinder and sausage stuffer, When I purchased my mixer, I also purchased the dough/pasta roller. Love it, since I make alot of pastas and ravioli.

This is my second Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I had the previous one for 20 years and gave it to my cousin when I got my current one. I needed one with a little more power for the things I do in my kitchen. I love the ease of use and the beauty of the color (persimmon). This is the first stand mixer I've owned. When I was shopping, I always heard the KitchenAid name come up, but I always thought the units were a bit expensive for me. Finally, after a couple years of looking, I got this model. I am totally impressed with the quality of this unit. As a woodworker, I would call this a shop tool for the kitchen. (bonus points to the first woman who suggests my table saw is a kitchen tool for the shop).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for Christmas and could not wait to use it! I had wanted one for years! I made homemade cinnamon rolls a few days later for the first time. This mixer was so easy and fun to use! It handled the dough with no problem at all. Absolutely love it and will be making homemade pizza dough with it next! Can't wait to start buying attachments too!!
