[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 71 years old and thought I shouldn't make this investment at my age. I have a 45 year old Mix Master that's served me well. However, I have always wanted a Kitchenaid. Kohl's had a sale, and I decided I deserved this dream appliance. Now or never. The only color available was red. My least favorite. I went for it anyway. It is all I had hoped for. My mixer is so easy to use. The dough hook is a dream for easy bread making. I bought the bowl scraping beater and suggest you do too. It works perfectly. As for the color, turns out the red is happy and fun in my white and yellow kitchen. The only concern one might have is the weight. It's very heavy for an aging arthritic. I have help moving it about, but it is something to consider. I am so glad I treated myself.

Useless shield makes kitchen a mess

Bought this Artisan stand mixer a few months ago & am VERY disappointed. The flimsy pouring shield does not fit well, must be held in place & allows both dry & wet ingredients to fly out every where. I have had chocolate, butter, flour, & more on the cupboards, counter, floor, & on myself. Think I will go back to my 35 year old kitchen aid mixer that I really loved. Was hoping for some help from customer service but no one cares. Kitchen aid quality has certainly gone down-hill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect for handmade tiramisù and sourdough stuff

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After some years finally my hubby give it to me for his birthday ;) i had to make the famous tiramisù of the master of pastry chefs Iginio Massari. This is the reason why i renamed my stand mixer as Iginia.
Iginia is amazing, she helps me with all dough leavened and pastry. Beating egg whites is very fast and I can easily prepare a wonderful tiramisù in less then 1hour. Almost every day i prepare something baked for breakfast. I love it.
Unfortunately i had an issue with the steel steanless bowl. It cracked in several spot and became oval after few uses. I would not expect this from KA, however the company promptly replace it with a new one(1year warranty). Overall satisfied
