I finally got a chance to use my new stand mixer. I love it. It's very powerful. The only issue I have right now: I used it to mix my pie crust dough and the stainless steel bowl I used changed the color of my dough.

30 year old one bit the dust on Christmas Eve. - very sad

Unfortunately our 30 year old Kitchen Aid Mixer decided to die on Christmas Eve leaving me to make pie crust & filling, clam dip, dinner rolls and mashed potatoes by hand. Luckily Mom came to the rescue and we got it done. It made me realize how much I needed to replace it immediately! Now onto the NEW Kitchen Aid Mixer!! We went out the day after Christmas and replaced it! I have been dying to have a red one and that is what I got :) happy, happy!! I love the fact that I know that this one will give me another 30 years of great food, especially at the Holidays and on special events.
