In the past I had a kitchen Aid it fell on the floor and it continued working so I gave to my sister. She still uses it about 6 years later. I received another brand mixer and it never compared to Kitchen Aid. I was so happy to spend the extra money for this mixer, there is no comparison.

I received my mixer as a surprise Christmas gift from my husband and son. I had wanted an Empire Red for my kitchen for many years but could never bring myself to just buy one for myself. After years of using a hand mixer this is such a relieve for my arthritic hands plus I could never even consider breads and other heavier doughs a hand mixer just can't handle. I have used it for a year now and my Christmas baking was so much easier. I just love how it looks on my counter top, it brings it up a "notch", classic! It did need to be adjusted so the beater would not hit the bowl bottom and even after a couple good hand washings I had grey streaks in my first batch of cookie dough. I read up on it and found it is a food grade metal finish(?) from manufacturer but never had it again. I like the look of the stainless steel bowl too.

Makes cooking easier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally got this mixer as a gift and just love it! Have made everything from pizza dough and cookie dough to homemade whipped cream with it! It cleans up easily and there wasn't a big learning curve to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous 4 quart tilt head stand mixer model, which lasted only 34 years, needed to be replaced. Since I started making home made bread over the past 7 or 8 years (a couple of times a week) it was a work horse. However, this 5 quart model that I purchased has both a larger capacity and stronger motor so I can joyously make two or more large loaves at a time now. It is a time saver and I am so happy I purchased it. I also purchased the flex-edge beater, but I haven't tried using it yet. Looking forward to purchasing a variety of attachments for it in the future, just not sure which one to buy first.
