because it makes my baking life so much easier. I refused to buy a stand mixer for many years. I thought I was happy with my hand mixer. Crazy me! I guess you can teach an "old dog" new tricks! Looking forward to making my Holiday Cookies in a few months!

I wanted this mixer for 3 years. Finally, I recieved it for my 32nd birthday...along with the pasta roller and cutter attachments. I LOVE this tool! It takes half the time of mixng by hand or electric beaters.....also it creates a smooth and even texture for noodles, batter, whipcream....and more! I would say it is a bit heavy...but thats not a negative....its just heavy duty...and I LOVE IT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first mixer (I don't remember the brand) I bought when first married at a yard sale. After a year or two of always getting shocked when I used it, I bought a hand mixer. I used a hand mixer until I got a Bosch mixer, about 10 years ago. The Bosch is a great mixer, but the mixer and mixer bowl design drove me crazy. I still use it to make bread dough and that's it. I went back to the hand mixer for most jobs... Until this past Christmas, about 40 years since that first shocking mixer, when I finally got my KitchenAid after drooling over them for several years. I love it. It isn't too big on my counter and I am sooo glad not to have to use a hand mixer when making whipped cream anymore. Thanks KitchenAid!
I wanted a stand mixer for 40 years. Finally bought one and love it. It's easy to use and so sturdy. The attachments are amazing. Bought more attachments to try. Don't know why I did without all those years.
I have been wanting one for a long time, finally got one for Christmas this past year. Have enjoyed using it so far, looking forward to using it this fall for my baking. I love the color!

I own and use this Kitchen Aid stand mixer and also have the larger model in my home up north. They are both EXCELLENT machines! The absolute IDEAL machine would be to have the size and strength of the larger machine with the tilting top of the smaller machine. However, as a retired math teacher, I believe I understand why this is not feasible due to the weight of the larger machine.. These machines are far superior to any of the stand mixers I had used in past years and I wouldn't want my kitchen to be without one. I do considerable amounts of cooking and baking with my granddaughters and they find the machine easy to use (with supervision).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use it frequently. Age curtailed my baking. My arm could not stir heavy batter, but with the super help of my KitchenAid, baking has become a pleasure again. My grand children will attest to that.
