I've wanted Kitchen aid stand mixer for years, I finally got one for myself as a Christmas present to myself, just over a year ago. I love it. I used to make cookie dough by hand, as I got older, it took longer to mix by hand, now I can whip up batch of cookies in no time at all. I've also used it for New York style cheesecakes, Angel food cakes, homemade brownies, all sorts of goodies. I love to bake, if you haven't noticed. My sister has the pasta attachment, she loves it. I can't wait to get my own.

My husband bought me my first Kitchen Aid mixer the 2nd year we were married for Christmas. I bake a LOT and that mixer was in use constantly. I just replaced it with my new, red Artisan mixer by Kitchen Aid, not because my original one was broken but because I wanted to update my kitchen with red, small appliances. I used that original Kitchen Aid for 27 years and gave it to my daughter-in-law when I purchased the new one. In all the years that I owned it, the only thing I ever replaced on it was the paddle attachment. I am sure that she will get plenty of use out of that original Kitchen Aid mixer. What a high quality product! How many things in your home do you own that you have been using for that many years?
