With this easy to use mixer, sourdough bread was no problem and clean up was a breeze. I am now a pizza dough expert and it sure beats delivery. 30 minute pizza using pizza dough yeast needs no rising time and makes a great crust.

I just love my mixer. Have been putting off buying this because of price but by the time bought cheaper ones that never last long I could have bought one twice over. It is so much faster and does such a great job with so many attachments available . So sorry it took me so long , well worth the price . Would highly recommend this product .

After man y years of wanting a nice stand mixer, I purchased this one last month. Right out of the box, I baked 8 patches of Christmas cookies, and it was a breeze. We have a couple of recipes where the dough is very stiff, and this made the mixing a breeze. Made all the difference in the world, my hand mixer would have burned out. The only issue that I have is that the distance between the bowl edge and the mixer "hub" makes it difficult to add ingredients while mixing. I used the shield, but the fit is not tight and it slips off frequently. That's really the only reason for 4 stars. Only had the mixer a month, but have already used it many, many times over the holidays. I also did my research, Cooks Country has the Kitchen Aid mixers back on the recommended list.
Pros: easy to use

I love baking and am delighted with my new KitchenAid Artisan 5 qt. stand mixer. The white/silver color fits in any decor and the black numbers on the speed control are easy to read. The spiral binding of the Instructions and Recipes booklet permits ease of use and increases the life of the book. Also like the per serving nutritional info for each recipe.
The large bowl and variable speed control makes mixing my favorite pound cake a pleasure. This recipe makes a large cake and was a strain on the previous mixer I was using. Mixing my mother's fruit cake recipe will be a treat with this mixer and I plan on trying more bread recipes using the dough hook.
