This was a gift from my children when my old Sunbeam bit the dust. I love this mixer. I wish I had owned when my kids were little. I love using it. It's easy to use and it does the job wonderfully.

This is the 3rd Kitchenaid I've owned over a period of 30+ years. All of them still work very well. I just need to upgrade now & then; Better color selection and more power. I gave the oldest one to a friend, and I like to have a second one as a back-up (not that I've ever needed it) ,but some times I need a second one to have two things going at the same time. I have a small, at home, cake decorating business.
The only problem I ever have is with the accessories.The housing on the meat grinder and the slicer, grater attachments does'nt hold up well. The white plastic cracks and becomes brittle over a period of time. Also the new pouring shield is very light-weight. It wont stay in place while in use, and looks as if it would break easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always wanted one, so I finally decided to upgrade from the Ol' Sunbeam, which had served my wife well for many years. Works like a dream--I was worried that I'd be sorry I didn't go up another level to the non-tilt models, but the Artisan does everything we need it to do. And does it well. Some ads mentioned a recipe book which was not included in the box with mine. It would have been a nice touch, but I don't miss it.
