I received the Artisan 5 quart tilt head mixer as a gift. I have never used one of even wanted one. It frankly never crossed my mind. Well, I absolutely love the mixer. Since I received it I have been trying to incorporate it into daily use. Although I haven't been able to use it every dsy , I have made recipes I've never done before. I've used it to shred chicken for buffalo chicken dip, which was delicious! I can't believe how wonderfully it shreds. People didn't believe that I made it. I've also used the bread book to make dough for bread sticks and cinnamon rolls. I also made mashed potatoes, meatloaf and meatballs. I' have whipped cream on my list for this werkend. The only thing that could be improved about the mixer would be is to make it that it can clean itself.

I really love this mixer compared to the other brands out there. It has power! The only downer is that stuff get caught in the well in the bottom, so you for sure have to stop it and scrape the mix out of the well or you will have chunks when you pour your mix out. I can live with that since I love everything else. Can't wait to get some of the attachments!

this past weekend I had a chance to really put it through it paces. I made 7 cookie recipes and one of them is hard on mixers. I make a chocolate chip recipe with ground oatmeal. I've burnt out lesser mixers with this recipe, but with this mixer I switched to the dough hook and it was "no problem". the strength of this mixer was a selling point for me and it performed like a pro this weekend. I was very pleased with it. I just have to get use to it.
Pros: Convenient Features, Performance, sturdy, easy to use
Cons: have to stop and check that the very bottom of the, bowl is getting mixed

My husband got me this mixer for Christmas. It had been on my list for many years. I grew up with my Mother having one and when I got married and had to switch back to a hand mixer I realized how much I loved her Kitchen Aid. Now that I have my own I an absolutely in love with it all over again. It makes cooking so much easier.

This KitchenAid mixer has everything I wanted in one easy appliance. I can make pasta, which is more quicker and such an easy clean up! I love the slicer and we use the cheese grinder all the time! I would defenitly recommend this mixer for every house and it also saves on clutter by eliminating the other applinces since this is all in one.

I have been lucky enough to have a Kitchen Aide stand mixer for over 20 years - and it's still going strong...which made it hard to justify buying a new one just because I wanted a bright, shiny red one! Thank goodness even at 52 I am blessed with a mother who loves me - because she presented with just such a gift for my birthday....and it looks FABULOUS on my counter!!
