I bought this for myself as a Christmas gift. I'm sixty five years old and this is the best gift I have ever received!!!! It's a beautiful looking appliance, I can make double and triple batches of cookies without pain from arthritis in my hands caused from trying to mix the ingredients. It's quiet, easy to operate and fits in my appliance garage on my counter. I got the silver color and I call it my "Silver Fox". I'm in love with my KitchenAid. Look what I missed out on....all those years!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have so enjoy using this mixer. I do miss being able to scrape the bowl as I go, but am learning to let the mixer do its job and it does do it well.

When I was little, Grandma used to tell me about how they made sausage on the farm, so as a tribute to her, I talked my husband into helping me make sausages over the Valentine’s Day weekend. Romantic, right?! The mixer and grinder worked well and were easy to use. Our sausages were awesome and we were the envy of the neighborhood.

I recently bought this mixer and I have been very impressed with its various capabilities. It can handle all different types of dough with ease.The only detractor is that sometimes if I'm mixing something for a longer time the bowl dislodges from its grooves and comes out. I've learned to stay nearby if I'm mixing a particularly stiff dough for a while.
