Primary use was for bread making, which worked well, except that the dough hook did not work - at least for me- as the dough just crept up the hook to the top and i had to manually push it back into the bowl.Then the mixing bowl bent just enough so that it became unsecured and was torqued out of the fasteners. Then it died

I purchased my 5 quart Kitchenaid Mixer about three months ago. I'd wanted one for about four years and I'm glad I finally took the plunge. I'm a lazy cook/baker. I had a hand-mixer and rarely took to the amount of time needed to mix and blend ingredients as the recipes dictated. Now I can walk away and let my new Kitchenaid do the job. My muffins and cakes are now light and moist.
I also love how quiet the machine is and many speed options.the machine is. I do more baking now.
