I bought this to replace one that "died" after 20 yrs or so. I am very glad I did. I don't have a lot of attachments but will gradually purchase them as the need arises. It is heavy so I keep it on a shelf that is the right height for this 70 yr. old grammy to easily retrieve it from the pantry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my Mixmaster, that is 40 years old, started smoking while I made Christmas cookies, I decided to buy myself a Christmas gift---a red KitchenAid stand mixer. It is smooth running and straight forward to operate. Love it.

Got mine right before Christmas. I've made lots of cookies! Love the idea of the shield, but it doesn't stay on. It's hard to pour say flour into the mixer while the head is down with out getting it all over the head. Some times the lock moves back into unlock/tip mode that gets a little annoying. For the most part I LOVE mine. It gets a lot of use!
