Gray smears from "stainless steel" bowl

My reaction to seeing this stand mixer on my counter for the first time was that I'm finally an adult, which is funny, since I'm 66 years old. So far, I've made sugar cookies, ice-cream, and gluten-free English muffins. The powerhouse mixer is superior to the one my mother had when I was a child, and the planetary motion of the beater is incredibly efficient. The only issue - and it's a show stopper because the mixer won't operate without it - is the stainless steel mixing bowl, which turned the cookie batter gray. I researched and followed the manufacturer's advice about removing "polish" from the surface of the bowl, and scrubbed it in a circular motion using baking soda. I thought the problem was solved; but as I finished turning out my English muffin batter, once again gray smears appeared on the last of the batter. I'm extremely disappointed to have paid this much money for what appears to be a shabby product. I looked into purchasing a glass bowl, but they're too expensive. Very disappointed.

Bought it a month ago, its been great. Have used the grinder several times . Very pleased
We got this a wedding gift and it has been one of the most used appliances so far. We have been using it just about weekly for everything from breakfast to cheesecakes. It's great, looks great, and was a very well appreciated gift.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This mixer is wonderful. The only draw back is that it's a little heavy...BUT...that heaviness resembles quality. It is easy to use...performs many functions . I think the food I make with it tastes better because it is throughly incorporated and properly mixed. It makes me feel like a pro. I have the grinder and 3 pasta attachments and they are wonderful and high quality. I would recommend this to anyone
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Convenient Features, Innovative, Design
My KitchenAid was a birthday present from my husband, one of the best gifts I've ever gotten. It rates up there with the classics; a little red wagon, red flexible flyer, or my red schwinn bike. Utilitarian, classic gifts that last forever. I use it almost every day, it's heavy duty, easy to use and clean. While I was worried that it wouldn't compete with my old method of making bread and crusts, it's as good but with easier clean up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I LOVE having a kitchaid. I have never had a stand mixer of any kind and love the ability to be "hands free" when mixing something in the kitchen. It is easy to use, powerful and I only regret not getting one sooner!
Love the fact there are many attachments that I can purchase

I have wanted a Kitchenaid mixer ever since I got married (28 years ago). Finally, this past Christmas, "Santa" brought me one. Best gift I ever got. My family thinks so to beacause they get dessert more often
