Love it but noisy grind mixing cookie batter surprised me

I am S0 disappointed at the grinding sound when mixing cookie batter&need to find out how to return it as I might have a defective one. Mine is brand new for Christmas.

I like everything about this product, except it appears to be having "power surges." I don't know how to describe these other than when I am mixing the speed does not stay consistent. It sounds like it revs up and then backs down continually.

If you've even on the fence... Jump over! Just made cookies (usually a bit laborious from scratch) in no time. It's so nice to add ingredients while it does all the heavy lifting. & all in one convienent mixing bowl. Kinda like 1 pot dinners but better. This is a kitchen "aid" for sure!

Bought this for the wife who loves to cook. The only issue is the weight of the appliance coupled with the fact we have little counter space so she has to lug it out and put it up after she uses it. Otherwise, she absolutely loves it. It's got plenty of power and does a fantastic job. There's a reason these things have been around for so long and in so many people's kitchen.
