[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this right before the holidays and I just kept making all kinds of cookies for everyone. It was not a chore, it was so my fun. I also made mashed potatoes with it, fast and perfectly creamy. I just got the pasta sheet attachment and we are trying that this weekend to make homemade ravioli.

We bought the matte white which goes perfect with our kitchen decor.
I have celiac disease and have to make a lot of things from scratch and this mixer does the job!

I have wanted one of these for many years, finally, I thought, you only live once, get yourself one, so I did. I would recommend this appliance to any one that does any baking or mixing of any kind. You will be surprised at the short time it takes to mix any thing.

I have wanted a Kitchenaid Mixer for some tice and recently sold some antiques, giving me the money to play a little. Needless to say, that included buying the mixer I wanted!
I have enjoyed the power of the mixer, but am still struggling with getting certain foods totally smooth. I was not successful when I made deviled eggs. There were still small lumps in the yolk mixture.
The beaters how er just a little above the bottom of the bowl, so there is te necessity of scraping the very bottom of the bowl.
The mixer did a fantastic job on the chocolate chip cookies .
I wish I had a second smaller bowl to go with, as I did with the sunbeam mixer.
So, so far, generally very satisfied, with a little learning curve or just figuring the old 1970s sunbeam mixer cannot be matched for smooth deviled eggs and creamed potatoes.

The motor head is shaking and the pouring shield is not fit

I got this on 1/28/2016, I open it on next day and I find out the pouring shield did not fit the bowl, I try to force it make fit thr bowl and it pop out itself, it won't stay on. When I try to make some buns today, the motor head is shaking badly and making a lot sound. I think the lock did not do a good job and it losing when in use, I try to contact the seller, they are closed today. I will try again Monday see what I have to do! But I am very disappointed how this product has a good rating. And they didn't inspect good before packaging.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New to baking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently became convinced that I should try my hand at baking, mainly due to being recently retired, the effects of covid 19 and a liking for fresh bread. Needless (no pun intended) to say I got the bug. Our Artisan stand mixer is a great addition to our kitchen and an absolute must for making dough from scratch. Very very pleased with our purchase.

Makes quick work of formerly time consuming tasks

In the week that I have had this, I have already used it 3 times. The paddle attachment worked perfectly on my grandmother's meatloaf recipes and holiday cookie dough. The whisk attachment quickly beat over a dozen eggs for a family size fritata. I look forward to making pasta dough later this week,to see how well the hook attachment works.

I gave my 30+ old kitchen aid to my youngest daughter (avocado green) who grew up with it and uses it all the time now. Never had a repair that mixer. It is still going strong. The only reason I gave my old one away as I love the RED colored mixer. The new one works just a wonderfully as the one I had for so many years. It will take the same use and hard work making honey almond nougat candy and other goodies . I expect it last longer than me. It is all metal and I expect it work hard without the motor getting too hot. the only thing I wore out the was the wire whip beater. Got that replaced.
