The kitchen is not my favorite place to be by any means. So when I got my Kitchen-Aid Artisan Mixer I was thrilled. She (her name is Marthy) is so much fun and so much help!! I just love her!!

Being a home baker for most of my life finally having the money to purchase this incredible aid has been AMAZING! And my son loves to help with it as well! Only thing I wish was a little different is that the tilt is too short (in my opinion) but still a great machine

I would five the Artisan a 3.5 stars. As mentioned in previous reviews the attachments don't reach the bottom of the bowl or all areas of the bowl. It doesn't handle dough well...meaning the bowl will not stay in place when kneading dough and I'm forced to hold the bowl down while also holding the tilt lever in locked position.
If I had the money to spend all over again I'd still go with a Kitchenaid, but not the Artisan model...would be the Pro 6qt lift. The I could actually make simple cinnamon roll dough.

I have always wanted to get mixer. It work wonders. My favorite thing to make is cookies. This mixer allows me to do that with ease. I am very impressed and glad I own my own now.
