[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I worked my old mixer (20 years) that the motor was running hot with all the kneading I do. Love the handle.

This was a Christmas gift from my daughter. She decided that with all my baking my little Sunbeam wasn't cutting it any more. She took the Sunbeam and gave me this. It runs quieter than my Sunbeam did and nothing beats it for whipping and creaming. I love the splash guard, now cake batter stays in the bowl. My husband gave me an extra stainless steel bowl and the scraping paddle. I make lots of cupcakes and that scraping paddle is marvelous for frostings and batters.

The first mixer I recieved was a gift for my wedding. I had only used it a handful of times and honestly didn't love it. The first speed ( stir) was so fast, everything flew out of the bowl. I learned I had to physically hand mix it first, then turn on the machine. What a waste. I decided to call kitchenaid to explain my issue. They sent me a brand new machine. I decided to turn them on side by side to see if there was any difference. Sure enough ... that first one was horrible. The stir setting was going as fast as the medium setting of the new machine. Wow ... what a difference that made. I'm so happy I can finally use my mixer and actually love it!

Make sure you buy one with the tilt on it. Can't imagine not having it. Also love the food processor with commercial grade dicer and blade box with it. Just ordered the ice cream bowl. If it works as well as every thing else I will be very happy. I've just started cooking again. So sick of it after kids were grown. Decided to get back into it again and love my new equipment.
