I've never had a stand mixer before and was very surprised by how much labor it takes out of baking. I find myself standing there watching it work and realize I could be working on other things. Easy to clean and I love the lower speeds that save me from the flour poof and splatter mess I get from my hand mixer. Making yeast breads with the dough hook is so fast and I can skip the kneading. It's very heavy, so I won't be moving it much, but seems well made and sturdy so I don't mind.

Love the look and the features but I've had problems right out of the box. I washed the bowl before putting 3 cups of soft butter in it. The butter instantly picked up grease which seemed to be coming from everywhere. I threw out the butter, and re-washed the bowl with detergent and hot, hot water. A day later and it is still casting off a thin film of grease/oil. I am not a happy customer!

If you love to bake and cook for friends, you must have this stand mixer! It is so time saving, easy to use, and just plain beautiful on the counter! I made whole wheat flax seed roles for my sisters, and it was a breeze with the dough hook!
