[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been doing alot of baking lately and I'm getting tired of having to mix everything by hand. I have a hand held mixer, but I don't like to use it much. After a long debate, I finally gave in and decided to invest into a KitchenAid stand mixer. I purchased mine about 3 weeks ago and I'm loving it so far. It works great, easy to use and clean. It really does make baking more fun and easy. I'm looking forward to do more baking in the future with mu.KitchenAid mixer.

Have dreamed of owning a Kitchen-Aid for years and finally purchased. It arrived right before I left on a trip but when I returned I tried pies, cookies, sponge cake, and rhubarb bars with egg whites that were whipped to perfection.
My only concern is the sound of the motor seems a bit rough at the lower speeds. The cookies and cakes were mixed very well, so much easier than by hand. I did also buy the glass mixing bowl so I could have two things to mix and possibly store, such as cookie dough or pie crust.

This is my third artisan mixer. First one lasted 16 years, second lasted 15 years. I do a lot of cooking and baking and use it almost every day. Also have the food grinder attachment and the slicer attachment which get used regularly. This is the only mixer I will ever use.
