[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted this for many years now but my old mixer still worked. It finally died when I started my holiday baking. I make a refrigerator cookie dough that is VERY thick and the KitchenAid handled it with No problems. It didn't slow down or give me the burning parts odor that my old mixer did. Wish I had done this years ago! Baking is fun again.

Mixes it all

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a Sunbeam mixer for 40 years and I love it, but the engine is slowing down. This stand mixer is extremely heavy. Hard for a 70 year old to move around. I miss the fact that I can't turn the bowl and stir in the ingredients and scrape against the bowl with a spatula as it turns. I can do this with my Sunbeam. With this mixer there are crumbs of unmixed ingredients, flour, etc. in the very bottom of the bowl that don't get mixed. I have to mix those in by hand with a spatula. Having said this, it does a nice job mixing double batches.Overall, it's a good mixer if lasts for 25 years! We shall see.

Mixing was by far the best I've ever experienced and what normally seemed like took forever was done in record time and the mixing was phenomenal. I can't wait to try other recipes I've always hesitated doing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New Kitchen aid is sluggish, gears are irregular. Had my previous kitchen aid for a couple of decades and am bitterly disappointed with thiis mixer. Will you trade it in case I just got a lemon?

10 years and still running!

I took this apart today, the first time after owning it for 10 years. I am thoroughly impressed with the way this is built. This mixer gets a LOT of use. Just the fact that the paint is still in amazing condition and the black printing on the trim band doesn't show even the least bit of wear or fading.
I took it apart to check the gears because they are starting to make a grinding noise, but everything looked perfect inside. Just some basic tightening got it back to purring like a kitten.
Very well made, very durable, worth every penny.
