It sounds silly, but I'd dreamed of owning a KitchenAid mixer since I started getting heavily into cooking several years ago and building my kitchen arsenal. While I knew KitchenAid was good quality and worth the price, the price tag was always an obstacle.
Flash forward to this past Christmas. I celebrate both Hanukkah and Xmas, and my SO's very thoughtful parents gave me one of my very own as a Hanukkah gift! Hooray! They even got the color I wanted! Now I have a shiny new Aqua Sky stand mixer sitting proudly on my counter. I've used it for all kinds of things, like mixing up garlic butter, cake batter and cookie dough (duh), and even shredding pulled pork! I love this thing, and I look forward to using it for years to come.
