the reason I bought this kitchen aid is that my old one died, sort of. Actually the cord deteriorated to the point where it was an electrical hazard. So I broke down and bought the new one. By the way the old one was over 50 years old and still ran fine. That cord was too dangerous and I couldn't find anyone who could replace it. So if this one does as well, my grandchildren will be using it later this century. Whenever any of our children married they would get a similar machine. They are also all still in used.

This is replacing a 50+ year old kitchen aid mixer. (It was my Mom's.) In our move, it somehow got lost. The old one still worked great, but I can't do without my kitchen aid. Love the shield that comes with it! The new one functions beautifully! I'm sure it will last as well as my old one did. Great performance!

I love my new mixer. I have always wanted a stand mixer for over 25 years! I asked my friends which would be the best one to purchase and of course they said KitchenAid.
