I just upgraded to the 5 quart and I'm loving it! It's perfect for those batters or dough that make large batches...lots of room to mix it all in. If you've never used a Kitchenaid mixer before...take the plunge and buy one. I've been using my 4.5 quart for the last twenty years and it's still going strong.

It is a fine sturdy product and does everything it is supposed to. My only complaint is that the splash guard is rather flimsy and should be held down manually at times. Otherwise a great product.
