Having a big sister who owns a successful catering company and is a seasoned veteran of the hospitality industry, I learned of the KitchenAid brand's well-earned reputation at an early age. Thirty years later (July 2016), I finally "took the plunge" to buy an Artisan for myself.
While I have always enjoyed using the baking and cooking skills learned from my mother and big sister, happily making people "fat and happy," I had always regarded baking somewhat stressful and arduous. I am a "procrastinatrix" *and* a perfectionist, an excellent recipe for delicious desserts and sleep deprivation before birthdays and holidays!
My KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer allows me to *create and procrastinate* with more joy, more sleep and less anxiety. My family's, friends', coworkers' and physicians' sweet teeth, if not their diets, are grateful for your busy presence in my kitchen!

This is my second KitchenAid mixer.I purchased my 1st one in 2000. It was a 5qt also. Now my daughter is getting her own place and she aked me if she bought me a new one could she have my previous one and so here I am again 16yrs later but now I can chose my favorite color BLUE!! Thanks for making the greatest mixer ever!!

I have wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer for a very long time, and I got one for my birthday this year. I use it all the time. The thing I use it for the most is my famous key lime pie. It make it in just a fem minutes with my mixer. Baking is SO easy now!
