Can't believe I waited this long for a mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new mixer! Waited too long for the joy of this effortless mixer. No more bending spoons or burning up hand mixers. Easy clean up, quiet motor, and all the color choices!

I took it out of the box and used it immediately after unwrapping it, and I've already begun purchasing attachments for it to make various other things.

I have struggled thru 3 hand mixers and one stand mixer and finally decided to make the investment and try Kitchenaid. All I can say is WOW! What a difference. I was pleasantly surprised to find it quieter than my old stand mixer, a lot more powerful and so easy to use and clean up. On top of this, it's beautiful to look at on my countertop. Then I discovered the wonderful world of the attachments you can buy for it. Just a few extra investments and it turned my mixer into my "go to" machine for just about everything I need to do in my kitchen.
There is only two con's that I have discovered. One is it is extremely heavy to move on your countertop. I rectified this problem by putting a simple cutting mat underneath it and now it slides easy as pie across my counter when I need to move it.
The 2nd thing I have a problem with is the splash guard. I wish it was solid all the way around because I find that stuff still splashes out the back part of it (the open part).
Other than those two issues I absolutely love everything about it!
