I knew that Kitchen Aid mixers were highly rated but when my husband surprised me with the Artisan mixer, I could have killed him knowing the amount of money he had spent on this. After one use, I can say I am no longer upset about the money! What an amazing investment! I highly recommend every kitchen have one.

I received this KitchenAid mixer when my hand mixer started to overheat and fizzled out as I was mixing my dough for Christmas cookies. My dear husband said he would go shopping to get me a new mixer and came home with the KitchenAid stand mixer. I never knew what I was missing before, I am completely spoiled now with this easy to use workhorse of a mixer. Love it and love my hubby too!!

I absolutely love it, it make baking so much easier and frees up a lot of time from having to hold a hand mixer for several minutes. I hesitated to purchase this stand mixer because of some negative reviews I had read online. Albeit there were more positive than negative reviews. I studied, analyzed, re-studied and decided to take a chance. I bought it right after Christmas 2016 and have used it about 12 times: from scratch cookie dough, mashed potatoes, bread and pizza dough, meatloaf, shredded chicken, from scratch brownies - both cream cheese and blondie walnut among other items. I have been very pleased with it's performance overall, there were no grey streaks in the batter, no leaking oil or issues with the bowl as some noted in the online reviews. The only issue I have had and it's a small one is that it does seem to wobble up/down with both the bread dough and cookie dough - both recipes were less than 4 cups of flour. Also wish it came w/more standard attachments or discounted or bundled attachments as the attachments are quite costly: spiralizer, slicer/shredder, corer/slicer, pasta maker, processor as well as a really awesome cookbook - down to earth recipes vs. the Mixer Bible I also purchased (and will keep - too much of a nuisance to return it) but a stand mixer recipe cookbook with honest to goodness every day recipes - "Down Home Recipes - Getting The Most Out Of Your KitchenAid Stand Mixer" now that would be something terrific to include in the purchase price as well as a flat beater with the side scraper - which I also purchased separately.
