[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love love love my new stand mixer! It’s swivel head makes getting the bowel and attachments on and off much easier and it can be locked in place when mixing thicker doughs like bread.

Impressive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m in my sixties and started baking with my Mom when I was about 6. I’ve always baked a lot both as gifts and for family. I recently received my Kitchenaid mixer as a gift and have never owned the brand before. I can honestly say that it impressed me from the first use. It has an amazing amount of power that’s really helpful when making a heavy or thick batter. The plastic shield that covers the bowl cuts down on mess and is easy to use. On top of that it’s very quiet for the amount of power it has and it is attractive enough to leave on the countertop. In my opinion it’s the best mixer I’ve ever had.

Best Surprise Gift ... Ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 50-year-old stand mixer finally bit the dust, and I posted of its demise on Facebook. My sister, who I hardly ever see, saw the post and asked me what I had in mind as a replacement. My wildest dream was for a KitchenAid, but my budget was tight for that purchase. A few days later there was a huge box on my front porch. My sweet sister surprised me with the red KitchenAid stand mixer, an additional small bowl, and 2 attachments! I was concerned about the weight of the mixer, because I've had severe rheumatoid arthritis for 46 years, and undergone 65 surgeries, including shoulder replacements and hand reconstructions. But, I purchased a glide mat that I was able to custom cut. The KitchenAid now moves around the counter like a breeze. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

I used to use my hands to knead the dough, but I finally made a right decision that buying this stand mixer. Also, it is my first stand mixer that I bought. I really love it because it’s convenient and easy to use. I also like the color. I bought the red one.

A Disappointment
on December 21, 2020

I had this machine one year - it worked well. Then suddenly I had oil dripping down into the bowl - a thick smelly oil. It seems that the machine has a malfunctioning seal - impossible to fix without great expense, and no answer from the phone line. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Response from Kitchen AidBy Consumer AffairsDecember 22, 2020
Hi Mrs. Granger,

Thank you for providing feedback on your Stand Mixer. We are sorry to learn of your experience with the unit. Some KitchenAid Stand Mixers that have not been used very often, transported on their side or tipped, may experience slight oil leakage from the shaft or hub attachment. It is not uncommon for a tiny pool of oil to develop if a unit has sat upright without use for several months. If there is an occasional drop of oil there is no need for concern.

Generally the mixer may lose approximately ¼ cup of oil before repair diagnosis is necessary. The oil used is not harmful to food, should any get into the recipe that you are preparing. However, if a mixer has leaked a significant amount of oil or is leaking on a regular basis, it will need professional attention, and we would be happy to be of further assistance.

We suggest running the mixer for 2 minutes on speed 10 occasionally or before using the mixer after an extended period of inactivity, just to keep the grease lubricating and not allowing it to separate, which is what you are seeing.

Please contact KitchenAid directly at 1-800-541-6390 so we can try to further assist with your current issue.

Fell in love with a Tilt-Head Stand-Mixer

I've had my Artisan for about 15 years now and I'm still in love with it! Since I bake everything from scratch; I can always find an excuse to use my mixer and it has yet to fail me! I mostly use it for cakes but have also used it to knead bread dough, meringue, cookies, fillings or whatever comes to mind! This mixer is a time saver and it is so easy to use. I would highly recommend you buy a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. There are lots of stand mixers out there and I have even used them but KitchenAid is by far tops, IMO! Now, I bought this mixer with my hard earned cash so I'm not saying this because I was paid to say this. I'm saying this because after 15 years of churning out cake after cake, it is still working and hasn't left me. Thank you KitchenAid and I love you (smile).

Finally!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This past Christmas, I got a KitchenAid mixer - the red one I'd hoped for - and I'm in love! For so many years, I'd read recipe after recipe that included instructions to "put your ingredients in the bowl of your stand mixer..." now I can finally do so. The mixer handles big jobs with ease, is easy to clean, and I've already purchased the pasta press attachment so my mixer is now even more versatile. I love it! Thank you, KitchenAid for making such a fabulous product.

Great! ....except for the pouring shield

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a Christmas gift and have since used it to make 3 different types of cookies. It works great, just like my mom's kitchen aid, and the mix of accessories is very nice.
My only complaint, and the reason that I rated the mixer as "Average" is that the shield guard, which I was excited to use especially for the dry ingredients, doesn't work. It's like no one tried using it after making it. The guard doesn't stay on the bowl, so it's more to try keeping it on while pouring ingredients. Why does this matter so much? Because it makes me question the quality of the rest of the mixer and accessories and put a sour taste in my mouth.
