I have had a KitchenAid mixer for years and love it. Upon setting up a mountain cabin, I took my old one there and replaced it with a new one at home. Loving all the new features....including the splatter shield, larger bowl, bigger motor, stainless color, and additional attachment with shredding and slicing features. I'm looking forward to many years of happy baking :).

I bought a replacement for my old Kitchen Aid so I could you the accessories I had never been able to use. I used the food grinder yesterday. It was the first time it ever used and it cracked near the insertion point. Needless to say i was very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have wanted one of these for over 40 years. When I retired and received my bonus, I went and finally bought mine. I also bought the meat grinder with it and love it too. I have used it many times and loved even more. I do a lot of baking and it has savedme from breaking any more wooden spoons. I would recommend this mixer to anyone. Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!

The Mixer I have longed for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been wanting this mixer for a long time and finally after taking a baking class found I could wait no longer. It is a great tool and can't wait to try some of the alternate attachments.
The only reason for the 4 stars is the fact Kitchen Aid sends these items out to customers knowing the stainless bowl will leach a black residue from the machining process in the dough as you mix, even after washing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
