Amazing kitchen tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My parents surprised me with this as an upgrade from my kitchen aid classic. I love the larger bowl and more powerful motor. It also has some extra settings I did not have on my old one. We bought the bowl scraper attachment and it is definitely a must have! If you are an avid baker who makes large batches, this is definitely the machine for you!

Bought my first kitchenaid mixer in 1980. It helped prepare many meals and treats for our family of 6 as well as for parties and family functions. In December, while showing my granddaughter how to make gingerbread for a gingerbread house, it began to smoke. My husband bought a new one for me that same day, in my favorite color, red. Love my kitchenaid and attachments. Wonderful, dependable product.

This replaced a well used KitchenAid tilt-head stand mixer with a burned out motor. Most of the attachments fit --- which is good. However, the new machine does not seem to have quite as much power when it comes to grinding meet and kneeding pizza dough. Works like a dream for mixing cakes & cookies. I just don't like that it sounds "labored" on the heavier work.
Pros: Performance
Cons: labors with hard work

I really love this mixer for its convenience and ease of use. Everything cleans up nicely. The only inconvenience is the shape of the metal bowl. When mixing cream cheese recipes and various batters some gets pressed down in groove in the bowl resulting in lumps in the batter, if you don't carefully scrape the bottom of the bowl.
