I love my Artisan. It makes baking much easier and faster. The mixer is easy to use, mixes amazingly well and cleans up easily too. The only downside is the plastic cover the should snap on so you can pour in your dry ingredients without making a mess does not snap on tight so will slide off with is not helpful

This is my second Kitchen Aid stand mixer. The first was purchased over 20 years ago and was used heavily for baking. In spite of the use, it still works as if it were new. My son now has my old one, and I bought a new one because of the larger bowl. The new one uses all of the attachments I had for the old one as well. Besides, I love the new colors!

I purchased this appliance because I recently started making my own bread and pizza dough 2-3 times a week. It's a great size for the counter, and it does a beautiful job of kneading dough, but I am considering upgrading to the larger model; with heavy doughs or double batches, the 5-quart struggles just a little bit.
