I received this for Christmas, and love it. I absolutely love to bake, and this makes that so much easier to do. I would definitely recommend getting the accessory beater with the spatula attached, which makes it so that you do not have to stop and scrape the edges of the bowl constantly. The two BIG downfalls to this mixer that I am going to wait a little longer before I contact Kitchenaid about them:
1: The motor gets bogged down on stir mode. This is the lowest setting on the mixer, and while using their cookie recipe it says to use this setting. I did everything exactly as directed in the recipe and while adding the flour it seemed like the motor almost couldn't handle it.
2: I have the metal bowl, and even though I have thoroughly washed the bowl several times now there is something metallic coming off of it, and you can see it in the cookie dough. This is concerning to me, but I am considering just getting the glass bowl to remedy this.

I received my KitchenAid Mixer as a gift. The gift was many years delayed as we didn't have the money and my husband wanted to give me only the best. Now, 15 years after we divorced, he finally came through. Plus he purchased the additional attachments. He cared enough to give the very best and I was happy to wait.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use. Heavy, but my husband put it on something that makes it easy to slide forward for use. I'm 81 years old and don't have a lot of strength in my hands. Don't know why I didn't purchase a Kitchenaid many years ago.

I absolutely love my stand mixer. We got it as a gift for our wedding and I use it at least 3 times a week to make cookies, bread, shred chicken (my personal favorite), mix, etc. I don't think I will ever go back to not having one.

This is to replace a Kitchenaid mixer that was stolen from me 3 years ago. I had had the stolen one since 1981 and it was always reliable, and easy clean up. You gotta' love them!
