This is a super strong and super heavy mixer. I've only had it for a few days, but I've made cookies and meatloaf using it and it worked really well. It did arrive with a long scratch down the inside of the mixing bowl and it had some orangey good in the shafts of the mixer..returned item? I'm not sure. A little saddened by the scratch though, hence the lost star.

I absolutely love my mixer! My husband got it for me for Mother's Day (which is okay because I told him no more jewelry or flowers). My passion is cooking! His condition for getting it for me was to bake a carrot cake recipe with caramel frosting; for Father's Day, and his birthday, which is today. I also made my son's camoflauge cupcakes for his birthday over the weekend. I can't wait to use it for everything else I make! I have been wanting one for about 20 years, and am so happy with it. It really is easy to use, clean, and love the color, as it matches my kitchen.

After many years my tired old hand mixer gave up the ghost mixing up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. I decided it was finally time to upgrade to a stand mixer. My KitchenAid mixer certainly fits the bill. This workhorse will whip butter hard from the refrigerator! After that demonstration I have never looked back! I bought it in the watermelon color because I wanted a color I found fun and whimsical as I knew at it's weight it was destined to live on my counter. So glad I went with the color I did. I did a lot of checking with friends/relatives prior to purchasing this and without exception every person had a Kitchen Aid and recommended a KitchenAid. I now know why.

I never really was interested in the kitchen aid mixer and always thought was is the big deal about a mixer.....well I find out it is a really big deal. I love my mixer. It is so much easier and makes everything turn out better. Wish I didn't wait so long to buy one.
