Great product and very versatile. I use it for a multitude of things, from mixing fresh made granola bars to grinding meat for sausage. There's a ton of ways to use this thing. Plus, it's built to withstand a nuclear bomb. I think this product will likely be passed down a few generations before it gives out!

I've used several brands of stand and hand mixers and this is the best!! Made wonderful bread with paddle and dough hooks!! Hardly any kneading by hand and very fast!

I AM A FIRST TIME KITCHEN AID MIXER OWNER. I HAVE WANTED ONE FOR YEARS AND THIS YEAR MY HUSBAND BOUGHT ME ONE FOR CHRISTMAS. I USE THIS MACHINE EVERY DAY, NOT FOR JUST BAKING BUT ALL MEALS. IT IS SUCH A UNIVERSAL MACHINE THAT TAKES PLACE OF SO MANY ITEMS IN MY KITCHEN. IT IS SO EASILY CLEANED AND STORAGE OF ALL THE PADDLES AND ATTACHMENTS INSIDE THE MIXING BOWL IS WONDERFUL. Growing up, my mom had a wonderful stand mixer that would create the most amazing deliciousness. As an adult, I hadn't been much for cooking or baking until moving to a place where I had a bigger kitchen. In the last couple of years, I've gotten in touch with and have embraced my baking gene and, because of that, have been longing for a KitchenAid stand mixer. I had done my research and set a target date for purchase when my lovely mom sent it to me as an early Christmas gift. The Artisan 5-Quart in Blue Willow. And, I'm in love! The color is beautiful, the sound reasonable, the performance consistent and smooth, and it's so easy to clean. I did follow all the suggestions of cleaning out the metal bowl with a baking soda paste as well as washing it before using and haven't had any trouble there. I've used the balloon whisk several times and definitely have to work on the timing of my whipping, as the mixer whips very quickly making me about a second too late each time. The beater is great, but I bought myself the scraper beater and much prefer it. And, the dough hook does its job beautifully. I plan to make many wonderful things (and most likely a few mistakes) in this mixer for many years to come. Bon Apetit!!

Wish I had purchased a kitchenaid stand mixer years ago. Love the way everything I have made has turned out. My old hand mixer was never powerful enough to mix cookie dough and I had given up making cookies because mixing by hand was just to hard for me to do. Now ....no problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS ITEM WAS A GIFT FROM MY SON IN-LAW. I HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET, BUT I HAVE A CLASSIC PLUS ALREADY. I GUEST THIS IS A UPGRADE, BUT IT IS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT COMPARED TO THE CLASSIC PLUS AND IT LOOKS SMALLER TO ME AS WELL. I LOVE MY GIFT.
